Hello Boys!!!
Welcome to your Sixth Judging session. This week you need to pick an Olympians and portrayed it into your photo. Very good job!!!
Let's start the judging session now
Daniel ~ Aeolus
Rhys: I really like this photo a lot. I can sense the god in this. Great job Daniel!
Sean: Great explanation. I love how you combine your theme with the fashion sense. I believe in this photo. I love the movement. I see a Greek god with a great styling. Great job!!!
Daniel: Great job Daniel!! The explanation helped immensely! You look fantastic in this shot... very stylish & chic... It's a little weird that your right arm is completely nonexistent.. may have helped to see it a little more, but its not too much to worry about. Your God is well represented here and I personally love it!
Eugen: I think you explained very well Daniel, and this is a great shot! I really like this.
Luke: I can see your God in this picture and the description does help, too. It's more of a creative interpretation of your God than a full-out fantasy shot that I was kind of hoping to see with this shoot, but being creative's always good and it works for you.
Ewan ~ Bacchus
Rhys: This photo is very candid and i'm not a fan. I can see where you went with this and if it looked a bit more professional then i'd totally love it. Just the quality of the photo isnt there.
Sean: The concept is great. I love the background but I don't think your expression is good enough. I'm not sure about the quality too. A little bit blurry especially on you. The good part is you represented Bacchus so well.
Andrew: I have to agree with Rhys... the photo is a little too candid for my taste. I definitely see the God represented here and if it looked more like a modelling shot I would have absolutely loved it! You were on the right path, you just need to get the modelling aspect down and you'll be golden. Good luck
Eugen: It doesn't feel candid to me at all, maybe because I know it's not lol I like this. But I do have to agree with a lot of what Andrew said. Otherwise, this isn't horrible.
Luke: Ok, so you have the theme down well, but unfortunately the rest of the photo suffers in order to meet that quality. I'm not a fan of your face in this shot and it's really blurry on top of it.
Jamie ~ Apollo
Rhys: Hm, you do look a tad smart in this. I like how you seem to be thinking of what's a head and i like how it's bright and your are in a hot place. I think, though you had a "bad god" you pulled this photo off well.
Sean: I think the style is great but I'm not sure if I see a greek god here. But you do look good and I love how you relate your photo to your theme. I like the setting. I love the fact that you look like a model. So good job!!
Andrew: I really like this shot Jamie. The explanation works really well into the God you chose. I don't know if i'd say the camera represents knowledge, but it's an interesting way of putting it. God of sun and light is definitely noticeable, so good job connecting the two. It would've been nice if you cropped or blurred out the website name in the bottom corner, but its not a huge deal. Not my fav from you but still a job well done! Good luck!
Eugen: I have to agree with Andrew's assessment, sorry for short crits here I'm in a hurry since I have to leave. Except the website thing doesn't bother me lol I get stuck with those all the time.
Luke: I can see your God represented here and the description helps, as well. Like Andrew, I don't really see the camera representing knowledge as that tends to be what a book symbolizes, but it's overall a fairly good shot of you and works well for this week.
Jay ~ Ares
Rhys: I'm very conflicted in this. Part of me loves it and thinks that its a super great artsy photo and pulls off the topic well. The other part of me is trying to figure out why you are wearing heels... over all the part that I like is the fact that the overall look is great!
Sean: I love this. You continue to wow me from week to week. I see Ares in this photo. Great interpretation. I don't think the background overshadow you here even though it was so over-the-top. Great job!!
Andrew: This is a really good shot Jay! The outfit and sword is very "war" like... its like a suit of fashionable armour haha. Not sure I like the ponytail. The fantasy background is really cool too and it isn't too much of a distraction. I don't know how the background represents war though... I just see a cool fantasy city with dragons. I would've expected more explosions and killing for a war theme... but the atmosphere is there and I still think you did good job this week. Good luck!
Eugen: WOW. Is all I got right now lol
Luke: Even if I hadn't seen what God you had chosen and I saw this picture, it still would have been easy to tell that this was Ares. I love that it's a fantasy shot as that's what I was hoping to see from models in this particular shoot. The background and the way you're styled is just great this round. While I don't normally like longer hair or ponytails on guys, it works for you in this shoot.
Juan ~ Eros
Rhys: I really like this photo. I love your face and i love how professional it is and how it relates to the assignment.
Sean: I love this one. Solid photo from you. I love that you're getting better from week to week. I think it's sexy and reflected Eros really well. Keep it up.
Andrew: Very sexy photo Juan... doesn't even need a description! Eros is represented well in this shot and I think you did a good job. You continue to get better! Keep it up.
Eugen: I agree with the others and you look so gorgeous!! I'm very happy for you because I've almost always enjoyed what you bring, so this is nice to see.
Luke: Definitely easy to see your God in this shot. At first, I didn't like your raised eyebrow, but now it's growing on me. It's helping you be sexy in a playful way, as well. And despite having a partner, I feel you're still the focus of the shot, which is definitely important.
Logan - Poseidon
Rhys: Yes! i was excited as well cus that was one of my fav Logan movies. Anyway i love this photo. It takes the assignment well. I love your facial expressions and the overall background... your truly look like a greek god.
Sean: There's nothing I could say more about this photo except excellent!!! You nailed it!!!
Logan: Well... I think it looks horrible. Not my favourite from you Logan... you can do better.... haha hopefully you didn't actually believe that. This is spot on! Completely nailed the photo shoot and picked a great pic. Too much CGI? Maybe a little... but honestly, I don't really care. This theme is all about the over-the-topness... and you did it perfectly. Great job!!
Eugen: I almost committed murder when I started reading Andrew's critique and then poor Sean would have been out two judges This is perfection! Great job!!
Luke: This shoot was definitely 100% tailored to suit you. It's a great shot of you and a great shot representing your God. Nothing more even needs to be said.
Max ~ Hades
Rhys: I wish you could have explained this a bit. When i think of hades i think of fire. But that can related to death i guess and black crows usually mean death. Overall the modeling is good. I really liek your facial expression and the gloominess of this photo.
Sean: Another fantastic photo this week. I love your interpretation so much. You represented death so well in your photo. It's scary but I love the fact that you still look beautiful. Amazing job, Max!!!
Andrew: Brilliant photo mate. Love the interpretation of Hades... God of the underworld. The evil crows, mysterious look, and dark atmosphere really bring out the God. An explanation would've been nice, but the photo pretty much speaks for itself. Another great modelling shot from you! You continue to impress.
Eugen: I think our male models like the crows lol Remember last season? Anyway, this is awesome. This is where your expression WORKS. Hades of the underworld. Dark and evil. Great job!
Luke: I don't need an explanation for this photo. It's great and really encompasses the vibe of your God. I've not been a huge fan of the last couple shots you've given us, but this is definitely a return to form for you. I love the darkness of the photo and your pose is fantastic. Welcome back.
Robert ~ Zeus
Rhys: I undertand what you were trying to do here. Making the chair massive to show how important you are because Zeus is the king of all gods. But i think the massive chair takes away from you. You sort of look small and it's hard to see your face. But i still like it and i think it's a great photo.
Sean: I see the king of the gods here. You look like a leader which is the most important thing about Zeus. I don't think the chair is too much because you're Zeus!!!
Andrew: Great interpretation of Zeus! The large chair and you just casually sitting in it like you rule the whole world... oh wait... I do have to say that i'm not a fan of photoshopped photos. This is clearly the Game of Thrones chair with you placed on it. The editing is good however, but that's hard to look past. Not your best... Good Luck.
Eugen: I noticed that as well, with the chair, but after researching, we realized it wasn't your doing. I do think this is strong and good, my only complaint is your nose looks odd here. Otherwise, I like the powerfulness of the whole thing.
Luke: The Photoshop job with this shot is good. Had I not come across this shot in a series of Game of Thrones Photoshops on Imgur, I probably wouldn't have known you were Photoshopped into that chair. I love the casualness, but power you exude while in on the throne. You act as if you belong there and the rightful ruler.
